In February, we will meet on Zoom for our next highly engaging book group. Dr. Sean Dean will lead discussions of the New York Times Best Seller, “Jesus and John Wayne.” Author Kristin Kobes Du Mez presents a “sweeping account of the last seventy-five years of white evangelicalism, showing how American evangelicals have worked for decades to replace the Jesus of the Gospels with an idol of rugged masculinity and Christian nationalism.”
The group will be the four Wednesdays of February and begins Wednesday, February 2nd, at 7:30 PM and will meet on Zoom. And don’t worry, no one will shame you if you haven’t done all of the reading. 🙂 To sign up for the group, email Elisa.
