We will join La Resistencia and Tsuru for Solidarity on Saturday, February 21 from 1-3pm to join in their Day of Solidarity at NWDC (1623 E J St.). Survivors of the Japanese American WWII incarceration will speak about parallels between their lived experiences and the current victims of mass immigration detention. Also includes an update from La Resistencia on the latest conditions inside NWDC, taiko drumming to make noise for those detained inside, and a poetry reading from @troyosaki.

If you are driving to the Northwest Detention Center (NWDC), please park on EF St facing E 15th St. This allows for quick evacuation in case of an emergency. To support visiting families whose loved ones are detained inside of NWDC, we kindly ask that people don’t park on EJ St unless they have mobility limitations. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated.
